About The Position

In this position, you'll be responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You'll follow established plans of care, assist with implementing therapeutic interventions, and support patients in progressing toward their measurable, functional goals. You will address patient concerns during treatment sessions and provide education on exercises, injury management, and condition-specific guidance as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. You'll monitor patient response to treatment and communicate observations, changes in status, or concerns to the supervising PT to ensure appropriate modifications to the plan of care. You'll collaborate with the Physical Therapist and clinic team to support coordinated, high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for documenting treatment notes, patient progress, and discharge summaries as directed, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory and billing requirements. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our Physical Therapy team, you'll provide physical therapy services in accordance with practice guidelines, professional standards, and per ORA clinical policies.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current, unencumbered, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Iowa
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
  • Ability to identify and implement components of physical therapy processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately

Nice To Haves

  • Previous outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience
  • Experience or interest in aquatic therapy

Responsibilities
