About The Position

We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. This role is perfect for a licensed PTA with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. This role involves treating a diverse patient population, with an emphasis on individuals with neuromuscular conditions such as stroke, Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), spinal cord injury (SCI), multiple sclerosis (MS), and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Clinicians will also work with medically complex cases, including amputees, patients recovering from COVID-19, and those with multiple traumatic injuries. Additionally, the position includes care for patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal upper extremity conditions. There is potential for this role to transition into a Full-Time position. Outpatient experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply! Why Work With Us? Requirements

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Outpatient experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
