About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and qualified Physical Therapist Assistant who can provide comprehensive treatment programs and contribute to fostering a supportive, open, and trust-based environment for both patients and colleagues. This position offers the opportunity to work in a thriving outpatient orthopedic clinic that emphasizes evidence-based practices, manual therapy techniques, and functional interventions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active NJ Physical Therapy License or eligibility for licensure
  • New graduates and experienced therapist assistants are encouraged to apply
  • Strong clinical knowledge with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to interact with patients of various backgrounds
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Passionate about providing exceptional care and working with patients to achieve their goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists for a wide range of orthopedic conditions
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and manual therapy techniques to optimize patient outcomes
  • Provide functional interventions that promote patient mobility and improve quality of life
  • Collaborate with a team of therapists to share knowledge, improve skills, and deliver the best patient care
  • Educate and empower patients to take an active role in their recovery process
  • Maintain accurate timely patient documentation and progress notes
  • Contribute to the growth and success of the clinic by supporting a positive and open workplace culture
  • Handle and transport medical equipment and supplies, requiring lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and squat to assist patients and access supplies
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Must be able to travel to all Premier Orthopaedic Associates locations for coverage as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy
