Requirements

• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Indiana
• In-depth knowledge of pelvic anatomy, physiology, and common pelvic floor disorders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Empathy and sensitivity when discussing intimate and personal topics with patients, and must be comfortable with pregnant women and children
• Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems specifically WebPT
• Current CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Specialized training in pelvic floor treatment is highly desirable but training through Herman and Wallace is available

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Help patients perform therapeutic exercises and activities under guidance of a Physical Therapist.
• Provide hands-on assistance to patients during therapy sessions, ensuring proper form and technique.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, stretches, and techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation utilizing WebPT documentation software.
