About The Position
STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform therapeutic interventions for patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role includes modality treatments, therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, ADL training, and wound dressing. The Physical Therapist Assistant will also be responsible for recording patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts, reporting patient status to physicians and healthcare personnel, measuring range of motion, strength, and vital signs as needed, and instructing patients and families on assistive devices and home exercise techniques. Additionally, the position involves providing guidance to Physical Therapist Assistant students and technicians, assisting in quality assurance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist, and ensuring technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques. Candidates must have certification and licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of employment.
