About The Position
Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - VNA Home Health The Physical Therapist Assistant is a casual position with territory of Armstrong County, PA. We are offering a $1,000 Sign-on Bonus (to be paid throughout the first year of employment) for the Physical Therapist Assistant. Lutheran SeniorLife provides a comprehensive array of community-based health and social service programs throughout western Pennsylvania. Our services include LIFE (Living Independence for the Elderly); skilled nursing, home health; personal care; adoption & foster care; assisted living; adult day services; memory care; hospice; palliative care; residential living; affordable housing; home safety monitoring; Meals on Wheels; rehabilitation services and private duty. Rehabilitation services are dedicated to helping individuals achieve their highest level of independence and bridging the transition from illness to wellness at home and community, by emphasizing the restoration of mobility and function. The Physical Therapist Assistant assists the Licensed Physical Therapist in providing quality Physical Therapy services including resident/patient/client treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in an interdisciplinary environment at Lutheran SeniorLife Facilities/Agencies including, as assigned, skilled nursing facilities, LIFE programs, home health and/or outpatient clinics.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Maintains current PA License as a Physical Therapist Assistant, including meeting continuing education requirements.
- Working knowledge of computer software required for documentation and communication.
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.
