About The Position

This position is for a Physical Therapist Assistant working day shifts with flexible 8-hour schedules Monday through Friday. The work hours are generally consistent but may vary slightly depending on department needs and must be coordinated with the Director of Rehabilitation. The PTA provides rehabilitative care to patients experiencing mobility limitations or functional impairments due to injury, illness, surgery, or chronic conditions. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA assists with implementing individualized therapy programs designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered rehabilitation services while supporting recovery and improving overall functional outcomes within a rehabilitation or long-term care environment.

Requirements

  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Missouri
  • A minimum of one year of PTA experience is required
  • Previous experience working in long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing environments
  • Knowledge of therapeutic exercise programs, mobility training, and rehabilitation techniques used to treat functional impairments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and clinical standards
  • Familiarity with professional practice guidelines established by the American Physical Therapy Association and state regulatory requirements
