About The Position
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility - 3558192 Location: Okeechobee, FL A Skilled Nursing Facility in Okeechobee, FL is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its rehabilitation team. This is a full-time, permanent position within a Skilled Nursing and post-acute care setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services to short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents.
Requirements
- Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute rehab setting required
- Strong understanding of Medicare Part A and Part B documentation standards
- Ability to manage a productive caseload in a SNF environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with established care plans
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment programs
- Monitor resident progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with Medicare guidelines
- Support safe discharge planning and functional goal progression
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
