About The Position

Atlantis Orthopaedics, a division of South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, PA, is dedicated to providing comprehensive orthopaedic and musculoskeletal care for patients in Palm Beach County. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the outstanding Physical Therapy team in our Palm Beach Gardens office. Supporting patient-focused care, the PTA will assist Physical Therapists with direct care of patients following injury or surgery to regain range of movement. You will follow plans created by PTs that involve stretching, strength training, and physical manipulation. The PTA documents the patient chart and reports progress to the PT. This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday in our Palm Beach Gardens office. Requirements

  • Current Florida PTA license.
  • Minimum two years experience as a PTA in a clinic setting.
  • Must possess outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, and profession with patients, family, and clinical team.
  • Able to comply with all OSHA, HIPAA, BBP, and other protocols.
  • Must be organized and able to multi-task in a high patient volume environment.
  • Uses EMR functions to ensure consistent and accurate documentation.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting, pulling, and stooping when assisting patients up to 300 lbs.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • EMR/PM experience strongly preferred.
