About The Position

We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient orthopedic team. This role is perfect for a licensed PTA with outpatient experience who values work-life balance. We'll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. This position will treat patients of various diagnoses with a focus on neuromuscular diagnoses (stroke, GBS, SCI, MS, TBI, etc.), medically complex patient populations (amputees, COVID-19 recovery, multiple traumas, etc.); as well as treat patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal upper extremity injuries with potential to become a Full-Time position. Requirements

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
