About The Position

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant who under general supervision, assists a Physical Therapist in administering individually planned therapy programs for the physical rehabilitation of patients. Duties include administering selective treatments which may involve application of modalities, therapeutic exercises, and activities; assisting therapy staff with modalities; providing patient education; observing patient reactions to treatments, and reporting unusual occurrences or reactions of patients to Physical Therapists.

Requirements

• Possess and maintain a valid Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by the Physical Therapy Board of California.
• Possess and maintain a valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• One (1) year or more of full-time equivalent experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a fast-paced inpatient and/or outpatient setting.

Nice To Haves

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, and/or Vietnamese.

Responsibilities

• Assist a Physical Therapist in administering therapy programs for patient rehabilitation.
• Administer selective treatments including modalities and therapeutic exercises.
• Assist therapy staff with modalities.
• Provide patient education regarding therapy and rehabilitation processes.
• Observe patient reactions to treatments and report any unusual occurrences to Physical Therapists.
