About The Position

Physical Therapy Assistants provide high quality, comprehensive and patient-centered Physical Therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients with a variety of diagnoses and disabilities. Responsibilities include administering therapeutic procedures according to the treatment plan, documentation and communication with physicians and other referral sources, handling and administration of medications according to legal guidelines, and clinical guidance to non-licensed personnel. Physical Therapy Assistants work with various healthcare team members to assure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• California licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure as a PTA by the Physical Therapy Board of the California State Board of Health Professions.
• BLS required.
• Annual 4 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2 weekend day requirement per month.
• Additional weekday and/or additional weekend days preferred.
