About The Position

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist. This role is crucial in helping patients and families rebuild their lives through rehabilitation. The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week during the day shift. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Licensure with the State of Michigan.
• Possesses and maintains BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license, certification or registration.
• Assist the physical therapist in treatment planning and conducting evaluation procedures.
• Utilize modalities, therapeutic exercise, assistive devices, and functional activities in patient treatment.
• Document patient's status and progress according to established internal/external time standards.
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team members to integrate physical therapy treatment plans.
• Instruct patients and families in physical therapy procedures.
• Participate in various meetings and in-services as designated.
• Serve as clinical instructor for physical therapist assistant students.
• Participate in program development and/or research activities as assigned.
• Maintain clean and orderly treatment areas.
