About The Position

Summary POSITION PURPOSE Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED Associate Degree in: Physical Therapy Assistant MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Entry Level LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location. Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire. Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Physical Therapist. Transfers patients as needed for therapy. Performs patient/ family teaching. Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning. Provides documentation of patient treatment. Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in: Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Entry Level
  • Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.
