About The Position

The position involves treating patients and delegating appropriate patient care tasks to technician staff. The role requires a commitment to providing safe patient care and includes responsibilities such as completing daily billing and documentation for each patient, modifying home exercise programs as needed, and fulfilling continuing education requirements to maintain state licensure. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program preferred
  • Minimum of an Associates Degree required
  • Previous experience in the outpatient setting is preferred
  • Must be computer literate with basic computer skills
  • Must be licensed as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Tennessee or Mississippi, depending on the assigned work location

Responsibilities

  • Treats patients in a safe manner
  • Completes daily billing and documentation for each patient
  • Modifies home exercise program as needed
  • Completes required continuing education to maintain state licensure
  • Performs other duties as assigned
