About The Position

The position involves working as a therapist within the Adult Acute Care Team at Michigan Medicine, focusing on a diverse range of complex patient populations. Therapists will evaluate and treat patients with various conditions to relieve pain, restore function, and enhance performance. The role includes rotating through different specialties such as orthopedic surgery, general surgery, trauma burn, general medicine, neurology, and pulmonary care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a basic MS or DPT degree.
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment.
  • Possession of a current state License to practice therapy in Michigan.
  • Experience in an acute care setting at an academic medical center or large tertiary hospital.

Nice To Haves

  • New graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders, and disabilities.
