About The Position

The position is for a part-time Physical Therapist at Atrium Health Union. The role involves evaluating patients and establishing appropriate care plans, which include necessary modalities, procedures, exercise programs, and patient education based on the patient's diagnosis and condition. The therapist will gather and interpret data from various sources, document evaluations and treatment notes, and communicate patient progress to physicians and other clinical staff. The position also includes supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and other staff, as well as providing education to patients and families regarding therapeutic techniques and home programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Applicable state license for Physical Therapy.
• CPR Certification and BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and establishes appropriate patient care plans.
• Gathers and interprets data from medical records and other sources.
• Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, and treatment records.
• Re-evaluates patients and modifies treatment goals as needed.
• Communicates patient evaluations and progress to physicians and clinical staff.
• Coordinates patient schedules and discharge planning.
• Provides education to patients and families regarding treatment and home programs.
• Directs and supervises activities of Physical Therapist Assistants and other staff.
