The therapist must be a graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy and holder of a current permanent or temporary license from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board. An Associate in this position may provide direct patient care for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients through the Rehabilitation Services department. Evaluation and treatment as well as documentation of patient progress is required as well as the ability to communicate with patients, family, physicians and hospital associates. Supervision of students, physical therapist assistants and monitoring of rehabilitation technicians is also required. In addition, the associate must adhere to established organizational and departmental policies and safety guidelines and possess problem solving abilities, excellent customer service skills and Patient First characteristics. The associate must assist in maintaining a safe working environment throughout the facility and be available for on-call and call-back responsibilities, as required.
