About The Position

Organizes and conducts therapy services to patients. Facilitates program development. Assists with professional growth of staff therapist, techs/aides and students. Reports to Clinical Coordinator.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an approved professional program in Physical Therapy.
Experience: Minimum of three years' experience as a therapist in an appropriate area of practice.
Special Skills: Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures.
License/ Cert.: Registration and current licensure in Mississippi.

Responsibilities

Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Performs duties of a Occupational/Physical therapist as required, including full patient load.
Enhances professional growth and development through educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and professional affiliations.
Serves as a Clinical Instructor for Occupational/Physical therapy/Therapy Assistant Students under the leadership of the CCCE.
Conducts internal training programs for medical and nursing staff on Physical/Occupational therapy techniques and objectives.
Serves as a resource to the nursing community and other disciplines.
Assist in the development of quality Occupational/Physical therapy programs.
Coordinates special projects/assignments that contribute to the department goals and professional growth of the department.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team.
Supervises Rehabilitation Technicians and Aides appropriately
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
