The Northville Health Center is an Ambulatory Care facility comprised of clinical and diagnostic services, dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children. Our 2-story facility is located at the corner of 7 Mile and Haggerty in Northville Township. We are actively seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for our patients, families, and employees. Excellent service and teamwork are an expected and integral part of the Northville Health Center culture. We are currently seeking a Contingent Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary musculoskeletal rehabilitation team. This Pelvic Floor Therapist will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of female, male, and non-binary patients with physical dysfunction, injury, post-surgical, and general bowel, bladder, and pain dysfunction. Candidate is expected to plan, implement, evaluate and modify treatment programs for patients; provide direct patient care using physical therapy procedures and modalities; instruct patients in use of prescribed equipment and home exercise programs; maintain records of patient condition and physical therapy procedures/modalities; serve as consultant to physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, athletic trainers and other health care professionals concerning clinical problems and/or procedures; conduct special projects/in-services as directed; participate in teaching of physical therapy/physical therapy assistant students. This position can be filled after the initial 7 day posting period.

  • Evaluate and treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, injury, and pain.
  • Plan, implement, evaluate, and modify treatment programs for patients.
  • Provide direct patient care using physical therapy procedures and modalities.
  • Instruct patients in the use of prescribed equipment and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain records of patient condition and physical therapy procedures/modalities.
  • Consult with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals regarding clinical problems and procedures.

  • Participate in teaching physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students.
  • Bachelors Degree or Post Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Experience with male/female/non-binary pelvic floor diagnoses and conditions.
  • Strong manual skills.
  • Eligibility for Physical Therapy License in the State of Michigan and ability to obtain the license within three months from hire.
  • 1-3 years of outpatient pelvic floor rehabilitation experience with emphasis on male/female/non-binary pelvic floor conditions and postoperative care.
  • Strong manual skills.
