This role is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling systems, as well as the installation and basic configuration of physical security systems including access control and video surveillance. Requirements
- Basic experience with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to learn low voltage systems and installation practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Reliable transportation to job sites
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with low voltage cabling or construction
- Familiarity with physical security systems
- Exposure to Milestone VMS, Gallagher Access Control, and Axis Cameras
Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber optic, etc.)
- Perform cable dressing, labeling, and documentation
- Install and mount security devices including cameras, door strikes, readers, and associated hardware
- Assist with installation and basic configuration of access control systems and Video Management Systems (VMS)
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Use testing equipment to certify and troubleshoot cabling
- Work on construction sites, retrofit projects, and active commercial environments
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site
