About The Position

You are a hands-on professional who enjoys working with physical security systems at the ground level. You will support and maintain Verkada's global security infrastructure with a focus on break/fix work, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. You will also be responsible for administering Verkada's corporate badging program worldwide, ensuring all employees, contractors, and visitors are issued a badge and managed through a secure, efficient, and consistent process. We have an “in office” approach to work, and this role is intended to be based in our headquarters in San Mateo, CA.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in physical security system support and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, terminations, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with access control systems, CCTV, and alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with corporate badging programs or identity/access management.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and device installation guides.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Customer-service mindset with clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a system administrator for the company's global physical security platforms, including credential management and access control.
  • Manage the company's global corporate badging program (issuance, activation, deactivation, and auditing of badges).
  • Conduct system inspections, preventative maintenance, and routine testing to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Perform break/fix troubleshooting and repair of access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems.
  • Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring, replace faulty components, and support new device installations.
  • Respond to and resolve security system alerts, alarms, and service tickets.
  • Support incident investigations by retrieving access control logs and video evidence.
  • Maintain documentation for wiring diagrams, device inventories, and system configurations.
  • Partner with our in house facilities to support larger maintenance and installation projects.
  • Provide end-user support and training on badge use and security systems.
