Reporting to the Corporate Director, Public Safety and Security Services/ Chief of Public Safety and serving in a key leadership capacity, the Physical Security Systems and Technology Manager assists by providing a wide scope of managerial functions in support of an industry leading healthcare enterprise security risk management program. In addition to being responsible for all day-to-day public safety system and administrative functions associated, as well as technology projects. The Physical Security Systems and Technology Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of facilities, staff, and community members through the effective integration of technology and law enforcement operations. This position ensures systems are leveraged not only as protective tools but also as force multipliers that enhance prevention, deterrence, detection, response, and accountability. The Physical Security Systems and Technology Manager is responsible for assisting the Corporate Director, Public Safety and Security Services/ Chief of Public Safety with the strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing management of all physical security technologies and systems supporting public safety and security services operations. This includes oversight of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, communication systems, and other emerging security technologies. The Physical Security Systems and Technology Manager ensures systems operate at the highest levels of reliability, compliance, and efficiency to safeguard people, property, and sensitive information. This position bridges law enforcement operations with technology solutions, providing expert leadership in system design, deployment, project management, vendor coordination, and team development. This individual plays a key role during emergency operations and, when incidents arise, assists in the organization’s process for executing the National Incident Management System (NIMS). Must possess a strong understanding of healthcare security management programs, patient satisfaction expectations, team collaboration and the know how to instill a department culture of providing the highest level of patient services and safety.
