Position Summary: The Physical Security Systems Administrator is responsible for coordinating the design, evaluation, and maintenance of physical security systems, policies, procedures and practices throughout the organization. The Physical Security Systems Administrator analyzes system activity and exception reports to identify opportunities for loss exposure reduction and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3-5 years of physical security experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Understanding of legal, judicial and evidentiary rules, laws, & procedures
  • Ability to analyze, research, and reconcile access control and intrusion detection system data
  • Knowledge of retail store, warehousing and transportation operations
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
  • Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus
  • Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics.
  • Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets.
  • Ability to create and manage departmental budget.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Physical Security Systems Administrator
  • Washington State Driver's License required.
  • Local travel 30-50% (occasional over nights), mileage paid at federal rates.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Accounting, and Criminal Justice) preferred.
  • Strong preference for one or more of the following certifications: Physical Security Professional, Low Voltage Technician Certification, Certified Protection Officer
  • Red Team” or “Active Intrusion” security system evaluation experience a plus
  • Software based DVR/CCTV systems experience preferred
  • Practical experience with photo and video editing applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the design and routine evaluation of all physical security systems, practices, policies and procedures
  • Coordinates the purchase, repair and maintenance of physical security systems
  • Serves as a Loss Prevention representative for company committees and initiatives involving physical security systems
  • Coordinates all central alarm monitoring station activities
  • Coordinates security patrol services at organizational facilities and events
  • Communicate on-going activities and any outcomes in both written and oral formats
  • Maintain accurate budgetary information concerning Loss Prevention operations
  • Assist the Loss Prevention Director in the development and implementation of Loss Prevention awareness programs
  • Assists with complex investigations
  • Assists with the planning and development of security programs
  • Assist with other Loss Prevention duties as assigned
  • Others organization duties as assigned
