About The Position

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. This position involves planning, organizing, evaluating, maintaining, and administering the Physical Security Program for COMPACFLT and serving as a subject matter expert on physical security matters relating to all COMPACFLT facilities. You will ensure policies, procedures, standards, and training for COMPACFLT physical security programs are accomplished, and coordinate the installation of protection systems and devices to ensure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material are not compromised or sabotaged.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Current federal employees must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
  • Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, evaluate, maintain and administer the Physical Security Program for COMPACFLT.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on physical security matters relating to all COMPACFLT facilities.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, standards, and training for COMPACFLT physical security programs are accomplished.
  • Coordinate the installation of protection systems and devices.
  • Devise, inspect, analyze and evaluate protection systems.
  • Ensure organization personnel adhere to established policies and practices.
  • Conduct surveys and analyses to identify critical and vulnerable facilities or sites.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records for DoD identification cards.
  • Ensure all security compliance spot checks and Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAM) are conducted.
  • Attend Anti-Terrorism Threat Working Group meetings and coordinate Insider Threat program.
