About The Position

Protect the life and property of L3Harris, its employees and visitors to the facility. Perform the duties required at assigned posts. Complete additional responsibilities, as assigned. Perform all duties and assignments of a post until properly relieved. Monitor and respond to all emergency situations in the facility. Submit daily reports on the activity of their posts as well as incident reports, as required. Complete assigned rounds, reporting all employees who damage or misuse company property, or violate safety rules,regulations or other L3Harris policies. Report on improperly secured Closed and Restricted Areas. Control physical access to the facility, including: Physically check the ID of all personnel entering the facility and verify authorization for access. Maintain a written log of the time of arrival, time of departure, name, signature, purpose and destination of al visitors, and issue appropriate visitor badge. Determine the citizenship of visitors to the facility. If the visitor is not a US citizen, notify a supervisor. Assist and direct visitors to their proper destination. Administer the temporary badge system for current employees. Prevent any prohibited items from being brought into the facility. Operate and monitor the CCTV, facility card access, burglar, and fire alarm systems. Report any unusual activities, alarms or discrepancies. Relieve the front lobby Receptionist and perform all necessary duties as needed for Receptionist breaks and to cover 2nd and 3rd shifts. Answer telephone calls to the general facility phone number (or calls that are bounced to that number) and transfer to the appropriate party, as assigned. Collect waste from Classified and Proprietary bins throughout the Clifton facility. Manage and perform all Classified material destruction and maintain accurate records of same. Coordinate and ensure the destruction of other proprietary materials. Conduct employee fingerprinting for government DOD clearance purposes. Issue, reassign and change the combinations on government-approved padlocks and distribute to employees for classified containers and maintain appropriate records. Record and maintain classified document and file cards for alarms, secure safes, simplex access locks and classified padlocks.
