About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a MAJCOM Physical security specialist to protect the enterprise from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or compromise of information or material considered vital to enterprise and enterprise mission interests, national defense or national security.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Must complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
• Must be registered for Selective Service.
• Employee may be required to work irregular duty hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must maintain current certifications.
• Position requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
• Must pass initial and periodic drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Chief, Physical Security Branch and principal advisor to the Chief, SSO.
• Provides authoritative guidance on Physical and TEMPEST security programs for the protection of classified national security information.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Special Security Office, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Administers the Information Security Program to protect the enterprise from espionage and terrorism.
• Assists with the Personnel Security Program to ensure secure accomplishment of the enterprise's missions.
