Position Purpose: Perform duties specifically connected with the supervision, training, and scheduling of physical security personnel to ensure a secure work environment for employees, tenants, visitors, and guests, while protecting the assets and property of Centene. Utilizing a wide assortment of security related systems; various business intelligence, and proprietary tools Physical Security Specialists are responsible for identifying and mitigating physical security risk throughout the organization. Specialists manage a variety of assigned physical security functions. These functions primarily include investigations, threat management, and oversight of local contract security officers. Act as liaison with law enforcement and are the primary point of contact with their assigned business unit executive leadership. Manages internal physical security inspections/audits and ensures compliance with security standards. Liaisons with local law enforcement and business unit leadership to design and implement security details to proactively address security needs. Analyzes business needs, local crime statistics, and facility structure to ensure a quality security product that complies with Centene policies and procedures. Lead investigators for all criminal activities and threats affecting the organization including workplace violence threats, criminal incidents, evidence collection, and access violations of restricted Centene space. Coordinates with state, city, and federal law enforcement, and collaborates with GSOC, Human Resources, Cyber Security, Facilities, Legal, Executive Protection, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Employee Relations. Conducts physical security vulnerability assessments and presents recommendations of remediation to business unit leadership. Utilizes crime statistics and intelligence software to mitigate risk, remediate vulnerabilities and bolster general deterrence. Provides direct physical security assistance as needed ensuring the safety of VIPs, dignitaries, and senior executives. Represents Physical Security Operations on project calls for new facility build outs, site decommissions, or renovations. Utilizes department report writing software to consolidate all statements, contacts, evidence, and supplements, into a cohesive narrative capturing all essential details discovered during an investigation. Investigates, supplements, and closes all IDAS alarms and KUVVR notifications. Innovates, integrates, and maintains Operational software. Assist with intelligence gathering and publication of department Daily Intel Report. Ensures collection of data from assigned sites for monthly metrics evaluation. Supports Security Designee Program. On-Call duties on assigned weekends/holidays Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years' experience in the physical security, military, or law enforcement industries required.
  • 2+ years investigatory experience.
  • Must obtain Armed Metropolitan Security License through St. Louis City or St. Louis County, or equivalent corporate security license of local jurisdiction.
