About The Position

Hubbell is seeking a Physical Security Manager. Reporting directly to the Manager, Enterprise Security, the Physical Security Manager is responsible for the implementation and day-to-day operations of Hubbell's physical security technology program. The Physical Security Manager will routinely interface with multiple functions including, but not limited to, Site leadership, Operations management, Internal Audit, and Human Resources.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the physical security industry and associated security best practice including components of physical security such as CCTV, access control systems, fencing and gates, and other security risk mitigation measures.
  • Hands-on experience with the design, installation and testing of physical security devices.
  • Ability to execute upon physical security strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Experience in managing day-to-day security operations including conducting physical security assessments across multiple sites.
  • Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with other lines of business, and act as a security subject matter expert as part of cross functional project teams.
  • Ability and willingness to be on call 24 / 7 to respond to company-related security emergencies and to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a corporate security organization, responsible for multiple facilities, or a related public sector organization (focused on physical security).
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and professional certifications in an area of study relevant to this position.

  • Private sector corporate security and manufacturing environment experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design physical security systems, to include video surveillance, electronic access control and intrusion detection.
  • Project manage and oversee the installation, testing and acceptance of physical security systems.
  • Manage and lead business critical project teams including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct site security assessments and ensure that appropriate measures are in place, in line with security policy framework, track and report on improvement plans.
  • Evaluate risk and application of physical security standards to meet the needs of the facility and staff.
  • Act as a liaison and develop strong relationships with site leaders across the enterprise.
  • Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of Hubbell's security related policies, minimum standards, and work instructions.
  • Manage electronic security vendors, develop, and report on key performance indicators.
  • Manage and track security equipment preventative and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Evaluate and deploy new security technologies, to attain long term security program goals.
  • Assist with development of annual budgets and security initiatives.
