About The Position

The Physical Security Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the security infrastructure of a global bank. This position involves leading the technical product management of various physical security products, ensuring they align with the company's vision and security standards. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders and vendors, as well as the ability to develop in-house solutions when necessary. The engineer will also provide technical support and documentation for a global audience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an Information Security or Engineering role.
  • Highest level of integrity due to the sensitive nature of the role.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with strong technical writing abilities.
  • Comfortable working across geographies due to the global nature of the team.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows and Unix.
  • Ability to package in Windows or UNIX (including Linux).
  • Strong SQL scripting experience.
  • Strong understanding of Information Security and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of PKI security concepts, Active Directory, and MS SQL.
  • Familiarity with Agile & Waterfall project management life cycles.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications including Visio, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to deliver results independently and work with vendors to resolve issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Systems, or Information Security.
  • Experience in CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire & Safety, and control systems.
  • Experience with .NET coding and ability to learn new languages quickly.
  • CISSP or other security-related certifications are desirable.
  • Industry familiarity in banking, risk management, or compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical product management of physical security products.
  • Serve as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for Access Control Systems, CCTV Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and Life Safety Systems.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to manage the product life cycle effectively.
  • Determine and enforce the product roadmap in collaboration with relevant vendors.
  • Evaluate the marketplace for physical security technologies and certify best-of-breed products.
  • Develop in-house solutions when commercial products are not available, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Provide Level 3 technical support to internal clients and businesses.
  • Write and publish designs, test results, and best practices for a global audience.
