About The Position

The Physical Security Analyst supports the daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of City National Bank's physical security systems across corporate offices and banking center locations. This role is responsible for processing and monitoring badge and access requests, performing video‑retrieval tasks for incident‑related needs, coordinating service for physical security equipment, conducting site inspections, assisting with special events, and supporting new branch opening projects including security system planning and design. The Analyst collaborates closely with the Security Manager, Facilities, Branch Operations, Information Security, and third‑party service partners to help maintain a safe and controlled environment for employees, customers, and visitors.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience in physical security operations, access control, building security, or security‑system support (e.g., cameras, alarms, badging).
  • Minimum 1 year experience performing procedural audits, reviewing access records, or maintaining security documentation.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using Excel for tracking, logging, reconciling, or organizing operational data, including functions such as VLOOKUP, filters, pivot tables, or similar tools.
  • Minimum 1 year recent (within the last two years) hands‑on experience working with an access management system, including provisioning and deprovisioning access for employees and visitors, ensuring access is limited to approved areas and processed in a timely, audited manner.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using or administering VERKADA or a similar access management system within the last two years.
  • Minimum 1 year experience applying role‑defined access standards and maintaining strict, timely processing within an audited framework; three (3) years of experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting building security functions such as monitoring camera footage, addressing branch alarm cases, and assisting with security‑system monitoring (e.g., cameras, alarms, badge systems).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year prior experience in equipment inspection and reporting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain physical security systems across corporate offices and Banking Centers to support consistent system functionality and operational reliability.
  • Process and audit badge and access control requests in accordance with established authorization procedures and security standards.
  • Perform video retrieval tasks and compile requested footage for incident related needs by following documented procedures.
  • Coordinate service, maintenance, and repairs for physical security equipment by submitting and tracking work with internal teams and approved vendors.
  • Conduct scheduled site inspections to observe potential security vulnerabilities, verify equipment functionality, and document compliance with CNB security policies.
  • Assist with special events by carrying out established security procedures, implementing access controls, and monitoring designated activity areas.
  • Support new branch openings by completing assigned tasks related to security system planning, device specifications, and installation coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Security Manager, Facilities, Branch Operations, Information Security, and service partners to help maintain a safe and controlled environment.
  • Perform routine monitoring and validation of system alerts, camera activity, and access control logs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with documentation, ticketing, and continuous improvement tasks related to physical security operations.
  • Use advanced proficiency with CNB security system platforms, including camera systems, alarm systems, and physical access provisioning and badging tools, to perform daily monitoring, footage retrieval, and record updates.
  • Perform routine audit checks, maintain accurate badge access and system records, and use advanced Excel functions to track, log, reconcile, and organize data to support physical security documentation needs.
  • Cross train and provide backup support for lobby security duties, following daily scheduling practices to provide lobby coverage during lunch breaks, PTO, or shift transitions.
