About The Position

About the Role & Program: The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, DVD releases, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings. We have an opening in our Live Action Motion Picture Production team in Physical Production. Intern will interact with several departments (Finance, Legal, Creative, Post Production, VFX, Marketing, Franchise, Emerging Technology, Animal Sciences, etc.). To gain a broad understanding of Feature Film Production from the Studio perspective. If selected for this role, you will report to the Manager, Physical Production. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from June 2026- January 2027. What You Will Do: Support different production phases such as Development, Production, and Post Production. Help organize and attend both internal studio meetings and those related to productions. Manage and monitor Below the Line contracts. Participate in Research and Development projects, including creating set lists, tracking crew availability for each project, comparing scripts, sourcing images, and collecting location packages from film commissions. Organize and maintain digital files and assets on the department’s server and online database. Occasionally assist as a production assistant on local film shoots, depending on availability. Provide general office support such as answering phones, restocking supplies, printing/copying documents, and basic tech assistance.

Requirements

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
  • Experience with researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
  • High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer proficiency, including spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
  • Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Must provide full work availability from June through December 2026.
  • Must provide own housing and transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship/work experience in production
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in live action production (such as Producing, Basic Crafts, Visual Effects, Editorial, etc.)
  • Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in Film & Television/ Visual Effects Production
