The California Children's Services (CCS) section of the Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking Occupational and Physical Therapists. Therapists will be responsible for planning, implementing, and conducting individual therapy programs for the physical rehabilitation of children. Duties include engaging in the provision of team-centered care, consulting with various professional agencies, planning and implementing therapy programs for children with neurological and/or orthopedic impairments after analyzing a child's medical history under the direction of a physician, evaluating patients' progress and developing treatment changes, administering tests to determine functional ability, physical limitations, rehabilitation potential, and equipment needs, determining durable medical equipment needs and providing instruction regarding appropriate usage, planning and providing instruction on home and classroom programs and durable medical equipment to parents and teachers, and planning and directing group activities. Assignment location for Pediatric Rehabilitation Therapists exists throughout San Bernardino County, with immediate vacancies in Colton, Fontana, and Hesperia. The eligible list established may be used to fill current and future vacancies across multiple locations.
