We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Physical Medicine and Rehab Physician (PM&R)/ Physiatrist to join our practices in Bushwick and Rego Park areas of NY. The incoming physician will be examining patients and diagnosing pain because of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition alongside a supportive team with PA/NPs. We are looking for someone who can treat the patient from start to finish, handling every aspect of patient care with recommendations and treating patients from first visit/examination until the patients finish treatment. This position will require travel between our offices in Bushwick (Brooklyn) and Rego Park (Queens).

  • Examining patients and diagnosing pain because of an injury, disease, or a disabling condition.
  • Determining and implementing appropriate treatment plans for patients.
  • Recommending and performing various medical procedures, such as trigger point injections, soft tissue, and joint injections to treat pain and improve physical functioning.
  • Leading a team of medical professionals, including physical therapists, to optimize patient care.
  • Monitoring ongoing progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans as necessary.
  • Performing or monitoring the performance of electrodiagnostic testing (EMG – NCV).
  • Counseling patients and their families and helping them adapt to lifestyle changes.
  • Ordering clinically appropriate testing such as X-rays, Cat Scans, Ultrasounds, and MRIs.
  • Recommending consultation with orthopedists, neurologists, psychologists, spine specialists, and pain management.
  • Performing initial evaluations to determine a patient’s need and ability to participate in the rehabilitation process.
  • Conducting periodic re-evaluations of patients to determine progress and for change or discontinuance of treatment.
  • Prescribing appropriate orthotic devices as clinically indicated and checking for proper fitting of such devices.
  • Keeping complete medical records of all services provided and the patients’ progress.
  • Leading a team of PTs, PTAs and monitoring their job performance based on patient care.
  • MD/DO licensed in NY
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible with American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR)
