About The Position

St. Paul School is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, full-time Physical Education Teacher for the 2026–2027
school year. The Physical Education Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing a
comprehensive program that promotes physical fitness, healthy habits, teamwork, and sportsmanship for
students.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive
environment where all students can grow physically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements

• Valid teaching certificate (Physical Education certification preferred)
• Experience teaching physical education at the elementary level is preferred

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons aligned with curriculum standards
• Promoting physical fitness, wellness, and lifelong healthy habits
• Teaching skills related to teamwork, sportsmanship, cooperation, and fair play
• Maintaining a safe, structured, and positive learning environment in the gym and outdoor spaces
• Demonstrating effective classroom management and clear expectations for student behavior
• Communicating consistently and effectively with parents and guardians
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialty teachers, and administration
• Organizing and supporting school-wide events such as field days or fitness initiatives
• Integrating technology and creative instructional strategies when appropriate
• Serving as a positive role model of the Catholic faith by supporting the mission of St. Paul School and integrating faith and values into student interactions
