About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and physical education, a passion for teaching elementary and middle school students, and a deep commitment to the mission of Catholic education. This teacher will help students grow in fitness, knowledge, and moral responsibility while fostering a love for Christian traditions in grades K-8.

Responsibilities

• Teach PE classes in alignment with Redemptorist St. Gerard and diocesan curriculum guidelines.
• Demonstrate/Model sportsmanship while serving as a school coach for sports, such as basketball.
• Foster a classroom environment that supports intellectual curiosity, faith formation, respectful dialogue, and teamwork.
• Serve as Athletic Director of Redemptorist St. Gerard and represent the school at DIOBR trainings and events.
• Participate actively in school-wide events, liturgies, retreats, and service opportunities.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and faith witness to students both inside and outside the classroom.
