About The Position

LCA has a community of staff and teachers who join together regularly for prayer, biblical worldview training, celebrations, and staff development. As a LCA colleague, it is essential and foundational to understand, live out, and agree wholeheartedly with Legacy’s Statement of Faith, Social Stance, Core Values, and the Profile of a Legacy Teacher. This team member will teach Physical Education to K-4 students along with recess supervision.
Requirements
- Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith.
- Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and biblical worldview perspectives to their students’ lives.
- A demonstrated knowledge of strength and conditioning instruction and a clear understanding of how to teach these concepts at an age-appropriate level.
- Ability to instruct students and athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
- Can articulate and share examples of clear, consistent, and effective classroom management techniques.
- Ability to work with all functions - administration, athletics, support staff, other faculty, and students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related subject from an accredited college/university.
