About The Position
Physical Education Instructor 2026-2027 School year; 186 contract days, 100% FTE Location: Mandan High School Salary: Starting $55,550 for Bachelors degree; starting $57,072 for Master's degree. Full benefit package included. Position Summary: Position is responsible for creating a classroom environment that fosters, promotes and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function and exercise; that motivates each student to cultivate physical fitness, and appropriate social and emotional adjustment; that discovers and develop talents of students in physical achievement; and that develops strength, skill, agility, poise, and coordination in individual, dual and team physical activities and sports, in accordance with each student’s ability. Requirements
- Must hold appropriate license from the ND Education Standards and Practices Board.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative lessons that align with curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a structured and disciplined learning environment.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school functions.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
