About The Position

Test Equipment Services is looking for a team member in our Physical Dimensional support group in Melbourne, Florida. Here you will be working with a wide variety of Physical Dimensional related equipment. This job also requires electrical/electronic troubleshooting. This individual will need to be self-directed and customer focused. This position consists of daily interaction with peers and production while maintaining a monthly workload of calibration and repair.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair off prints or written work instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Extensive experience with Physical Dimensional equipment and electrical/electronic wiring troubleshooting would be preferred
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)
  • ISO/IEC 17025 training
  • NIST dimensional metrology coursework
  • GD&T certification, or equivalent industry-recognized calibration training

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical dimension calibrations for a wide range of test equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, pin gages, thread gages, torque tools, force measurement devices, and dimensional standards
  • Execute calibrations using appropriate methods, standards, and measurement uncertainty practices in accordance with internal procedures and industry standards
  • Analyze calibration results, identify out-of-tolerance (OOT) conditions, and support containment and corrective actions
  • Establish, review, and support recall interval (RI) determinations based on historical performance and usage data
  • Maintain accurate calibration records, asset data, and traceability within enterprise calibration management systems
  • Verify asset identification, labeling, and asset numbering in accordance with enterprise asset control requirements
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to resolve test equipment issues and support production needs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable internal quality system requirements and calibration standards
