Physical Activity Tech - Full-time
About The Position
Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital has a full-time opportunity for a Physical Activity Tech. In this role, you will assist Rehab Therapists with patients (as needed), stock equipment, clean therapy spaces, print handouts, facilitate the BJWC walking program, set up post-op rooms, and provide additional task support as needed. Excel, Word, and Teams usage and some tech background would be preferred. Monday - 9:00am– 5:30pm; Tuesday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30PM (possible Saturdays occasionally) Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. The inpatient physical therapy department of BJWCH provides rehabilitation services to patients within an acute care environment. Our staff of experienced, efficient physical therapists and assistants communicate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers and work closely with patients to develop safe, personalized rehabilitation programs that aid the patient in improving mobility and returning to daily functional activities. Role Purpose Provides routine, non skilled patient treatments as prescribed by the physician and directed by the licensed therapist or therapist assistant. Assists in maintaining inventory of supplies, forms and organizing the clinical environment for safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities
- Assists the therapist by performing non-skilled activities that are critical to a patient's treatment.
- Transports patients safely and in a timely fashion.
- Inputs rehab charges, prepares charts, charge sheets and other documentation required for treatment, and creates, complies, maintains and organizes patient handouts and other departmental reports.
