About The Position

JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: San Francisco, CA • Service Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation (Hospital) • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: May 4, 2026 – July 2026 (with possible extension) • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM • On-Call Shift Schedule: Night beeper call after shifts; occasional weekend coverage • Call Type: Beeper Call (from home) • Callback Rate: Variable COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage May–July; minimum 2 weeks per month required PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 13–15 patients per day • Admissions: Included • Rounding: Included • Phone Consults: Included • Case Mix: General inpatient PM&R including stroke, orthopedic rehab, injury recovery, and pain management FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard inpatient rehab equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Neurology, orthopedics, pain management, internal medicine • Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary rehab team • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (urgent temps available) • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 45 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: TBD

Requirements

Licenses: Active CA license required
Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R
DEA: Active CA DEA required
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Experience: Minimum 2 years inpatient PM&R experience
Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing inpatient rehab cases; EMG/NCS not required
