About The Position

Mayo Clinic Health System in Southwest Wisconsin is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Physiatrist to join our growing, integrated healthcare team. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment that emphasizes clinical excellence, education, and innovation. The position is outpatient-focused with a Monday-Friday schedule, and there are no call responsibilities, meaning no nights or weekends. The primary location for this role is La Crosse, WI, with a possible secondary location to be determined. The focus will be on general physiatry, with subspecialization opportunities available. The clinic is high-volume and places a strong emphasis on EMG services and other procedural treatments. Additionally, there is access to advanced treatment technologies including neurotoxin and platelet-rich plasma therapy. The role includes participation in multidisciplinary clinics (e.g., amputee, wheelchair) and collaboration with a robust Physical Therapy department, professional nursing staff, and efficient scheduling support. There are also educational opportunities available with medical students, residents, and APP staff. The institution provides strong support for professional growth and development, and there is a highly active research program in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, aimed at transforming today's research into tomorrow's cutting-edge care and cure for patients and communities.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Certification or eligibility to perform EMGs (preferred, not required)
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Wisconsin
