About The Position

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Virginia is actively interviewing for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This position includes providing rehabilitation care with an emphasis on Neuro (Stroke and TBI) and general rehabilitation patients in the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital, as well as in an outpatient clinical setting. The inpatient care is performed in a setting of a co-management model, and the role includes night and weekend call coverage at UVA-EH on a rotational basis.

Requirements

• MD; MD/PhD or DO doctoral level degree.
• Board-certification or board-eligibility by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
• Commitment to a career in academic medicine.
• Interest in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitation care with an emphasis on Neuro (Stroke and TBI) and general rehabilitation patients.
• Work in the UVA Encompass Health JV Rehabilitation Hospital and in an outpatient clinical setting.
• Participate in a co-management model for inpatient care.
• Provide night and weekend call coverage on a rotational basis.
