About The Position

CoverageX is a leading provider of vehicle service contracts, focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. Our mission is simple: be the best version of ourselves in service to our customers. We take pride in being in a class of our own when it comes to coverage and customer care. We’re seeking a PHP Developer to join our onsite team in Clearwater, FL. You’ll work closely with the CTO and our overseas development team on both new feature development and new internal systems, in addition to evolving our existing CRM and phone platforms. You'll collaborate directly with department heads to translate business needs into technical solutions. This is a high-impact, full-time on-site role — local candidates only.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in web development and software design
Strong proficiency in PHP (OOP), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience designing and working with MySQL databases
Ability to work on-site in Clearwater, FL
Must be a Florida resident.
A minimum of 7 years of experience with PHP, MySQL,HTML, JavaScript & jQuery.
Expertise in database object creation (views, procedures, functions) and managing schema and data migrations.
Comfort navigating the Linux command line.
Web Servers: Nginx, Apache
Tools and Libraries: PhpStorm, VS Code, VirtualBox, Docker, Composer, Node.js, webpack
PHP: 5 years (Required)
MySQL: 5 years (Required)
HTML5: 5 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
Familiarity with Asterisk or telephony systems
Experience with MariaDB, AWS, and Linux environments
Background building new systems or maintaining CRM or enterprise-level platforms
A strong understanding of UI/UX responsive design principles using HTML frameworks like Bootstrap.
Styling: Advanced CSS techniques
Azure or AWS Experience:

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deliver new internal applications, features, and system enhancements
Develop and evolve our custom CRM and integrated phone systems
Translate business and operational requirements into new technical solutions and architectures
Collaborate with department heads to launch new tools, workflows, and automation
Analyze data and contribute to reporting and business intelligence initiatives
Write and maintain technical documentation for new and existing systems
Follow modern PHP and object-oriented programming best practices
Use Git for version control and Jira for task tracking
Collaborate with cross-functional and international development teams
