About The Position

Scripps News is looking for a highly skilled, visually driven Photojournalist to join our Washington, D.C., bureau. Masterfully utilize in-depth knowledge of LED lighting techniques to set the stage, exercising significant artistic judgment to capture moments. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in unpredictable field environments to adapt the visual approach as a story evolves. Manages all project timelines and logistics to ensure all deadlines are met without direct supervision. Serve as a subject matter expert on visual technology. This expertise extends to advising on gear purchases and working with or leading the team responsible for equipment maintenance to push creative boundaries.
