We 're Hiring a Photography and Social Media Intern for our Reservoir Center in Washington, DC! A successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, with coursework or experience in photography, communications, marketing, or related fields
  • Interest in photography, visual storytelling, and social media
  • Basic photography skills and experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras
  • Familiarity with Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop
  • Experience with short-form video and basic video editing tools
  • Ability to work on-site during scheduled events, with flexibility around course schedule. Events occur both during the regular workday (9am to 5pm) and evenings.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual for scheduled events
  • Comfortable working in a corporate environment
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to take direction and incorporate feedback
  • Professional, collaborative, and eager to learn

Responsibilities

  • Photograph on-site meetings, events, and programs
  • Capture candid, detail, and spatial shots for social media and archival use
  • Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop
  • Organize and deliver final image selections in a timely manner
  • Capture real-time and post-event content for social media use
  • Assist with formatting and preparing content for platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Assist in the creation of video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels
  • Support content planning around key events and programs
  • Help maintain visual consistency with organizational branding
  • Assist with short-form video capture for stories or recap content (as needed)
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and post-event debriefs
  • Stay aware of social media and visual content trends related to events and professional organizations
