Photographer We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Photographer to produce high-quality lifestyle and product photography that aligns with brand standards. This role requires strong technical photography skills, visual storytelling ability, and proficiency in photo editing software. The Photographer will support marketing, social media, and promotional efforts through engaging visual content. Note: This is a part-time position 28 hours per week.
Requirements
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in digital photography, including lighting, composition, and camera settings
- Experience using Adobe Lightroom and other photo editing software
- Ability to operate DSLR or mirrorless cameras confidently
- Strong creative eye for lifestyle and product photography
- Ability to direct models professionally
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Major in Photography, Visual Arts, Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, or related field
- Coursework or hands-on experience in digital photography and lighting
- Experience styling photoshoots and coordinating visual elements
- Knowledge of branding and marketing standards
- Experience creating content for social media
- Familiarity with studio lighting equipment
- Prior professional, freelance, or campus photography experience
Responsibilities
- Capture lifestyle and product photography for marketing and promotional use
- Plan and execute photoshoots from concept to final delivery
- Direct models to achieve desired poses, expressions, and overall aesthetic
- Style shoots, including selecting props, backgrounds, and visual elements
- Operate professional camera equipment in various lighting environments
- Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Lightroom and related software
- Organize and manage digital files and deliver final images in a timely manner
