About The Position

Summary Photographer The main function of this job is to take photos of products, merchandising, shelving and floor space as needed so the space planners have pictures of the products and various other items that might aide them in their role. During slower times workload periods, this role would assist the Space Planning team with tasks. Requirements

  • High school education
  • 0–2 years experience in relevant field (1–4 years experience preferred)
  • Some travel expected
  • Strong photography skills
  • Entry level understanding of planogram work
  • Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Work is performed in a retail in-store environment, which may include working in variable temperatures such as refrigerated areas, freezer sections and deli/bakery areas.
  • The position typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each workday performing the following activities: Engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use consumer goods products, prepare, and serve food and beverages safely as appropriate for the product demonstration.

Responsibilities

  • Capture clear, accurate photos of products, shelves, fixtures, endcaps, planograms, and floor layouts.
  • Follow standardized photo guidelines (angles, distances, labeling) to ensure consistency for the Space Planning team.
  • Document changes in merchandising, new product sets, resets, and seasonal transitions.
  • Organize and label photos so planners can easily identify what they’re looking at.
  • Upload and maintain photo libraries in the correct shared drives or software systems
  • Support planners with data entry, updating planograms, or preparing documentation.
  • Help maintain product databases, including dimensions, images, and descriptions.
  • Assist with mock ups or layout testing when planners need hands-on help.
  • Communicate store level insights that could influence future layouts or product placement strategies
  • Verify planogram compliance by comparing in store setups to provided schematics.
  • Measure shelving, fixtures, and product dimensions when needed for accurate planning.
  • Identify discrepancies between store layouts and corporate standards and report them to planners.
  • Assist with basic merchandising tasks during slower periods (e.g., shelf resets, product placement, tagging)
