About The Position

Requirements

• Associates degree in related discipline preferred.
• Generally 2+ years of experience in related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with lighting and computer-based editing.
• Proficiency with live microwave truck operation and TVU backpacks.
• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics, and libel laws.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to the station's websites.
• Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms.
• Operate and maintain live equipment including microwave, satellite, TVUs, and related news gathering equipment.
• Work in tandem with newsroom personnel to create and develop news stories.
• Edit newscasts as assigned.
• Respond to breaking news situations as the photographer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
