About The Position

We're a Creative Department building a small yet fierce studio team looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and organized Photo Assistant to support our photographers, stylists, and production team on shoots and assist with set building. Our creatives are enthusiastic and high-functioning, thriving in a highly collaborative, sometimes quick-turn environment. Positive vibes only. Well, at least 93% of the time (we're only human). The Photo Assistant will support the photography team during photoshoots, ensuring smooth operation and contributing to a professional, efficient environment. This role involves assisting with equipment setup, lighting, set building, and general shoot logistics. The Photo Assistant will also assist stylists and help with preparing photo decks for review by the Art Director.

Requirements

• Experience with photography equipment and lighting setup.
• Strong knowledge of photography and studio setup.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with a creative team.
• Flexibility with working hours, as shoots may require evenings or weekends.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting stylists and working with props is a plus.
• Previous experience as a photo assistant or in a related role is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist photographers in setting up and breaking down equipment before and after shoots.
• Set up and adjust lighting, backdrops, and furniture & props according to the photographer's direction.
• Organize and maintain photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, tripods, lighting, and accessories.
• Assist stylists in preparing and organizing wardrobe, props, and other items needed for the shoot.
• Help build and arrange sets.
• Provide general support to the photographer, stylists, and crew, including running errands and handling logistics.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the studio and on location.
• Assist with photo shoots both in the studio and on location, as needed.
